316 Stainless Steel Plate physical function and carbon steel

1. Density The density of carbon steel is slightly higher than that of ferrite and martensitic stainless steel, and slightly lower than that of austenitic stainless steel;

2. Resistivity The resistivity is increased according to the order of carbon steel, ferritic, martensitic and austenitic stainless steel; 3. The order of the linear expansion coefficient is similar, the austenitic stainless steel is high and the carbon steel is the smallest;

4. 316 Stainless Steel Sheet, ferritic and martensitic stainless steels are magnetic, and austenitic stainless steels are non-magnetic, but they will be magnetic when they are cold worked hard to form martensite transformation, which can be dispelled by heat treatment. The body tissue is restored to its non-magnetic properties.

Austenitic stainless steel is comparable to carbon steel and has the following characteristics:

1) High resistivity, about 5 times that of carbon steel.

2) The coefficient of linear expansion is 40% higher than that of carbon steel, and the temperature increases, and the value of linear expansion coefficient also increases.

3) Low thermal conductivity, about 1/3 of carbon steel.
